Alvis Speed 25

12V Dynator to fit the Alvis Speed 25. Produces 90A compared to approximately 20A of the original. The Dynator shown in the photos has been fitted with the drive sprocket/fan assembly, water pump drive and brush cover from the original dynamo from the car, so these are not supplied with the new Dynator. The unit also weighs 6kg compared to 10kg of the original.

Please note that due to the drive layout in the Alvis engine, the original dynamo is driven at less than crankshaft speed. Once the Dynator is fitted, it may be necessary to 'blip the throttle' in order to start the alternator charging.
