Opel / Vauxhall CIH Engine

Hi torque starter motor to fit the Opel / Vauxhall  Cam in Head range of engines. The Opel Cam-In-Head engine ("CIH" for short) is a series of inline engines which was built from 1965 until 1995 and was available in four- or six-cylinder configurations of various capacities. Two different power versions of the starter motor are available (1.4 & 2.0kW) and the following list is the recommended starter motor power for different engines:

• 4 Cylinder engines from 1.5L to 2.4L - 1.4kW (LMS584)
• 4 Cylinder engines greater than 2.4L - 2kW (LMS860)
• 6 Cylinder engines from 2.2L to 2.6L - 1.4kW (LMS584)
• 6 Cylinder engines exceeding 2.6L - 2.0kW (LMS860)
